Daxko Public Relations and Communications Intern Summary:

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with crafting and distributing press materials (releases, media pitches, alerts) that drive real media attention.


  • Monitor media coverage and maintain key media lists and databases.


  • Support media outreach and placement opportunities with national and local journalists.


  • Brainstorm creative story angles and long-term PR strategies.


  • Assist with writing and editing social media content and executive communications, ensuring brand voice consistency.


  • Contribute to the development of case studies and testimonials from customers and utilize those testimonials and success stories for usage on external platforms.  


  • Contribute to enhancing Daxko’s brand presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Glassdoor.


  • Help draft internal communications and assist with company-wide announcements.


  • Support logistics and materials for PR events, trade shows, and leadership engagements.


  • Pitch in on strategic projects like a website content audit or intranet revamp.


  • Provide general support to the Communications Manager.


Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms


  • Creativity and attention to detail in content creation


  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus


  • Interest in the wellness or nonprofit space is a bonus


  • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week
